Local area information

Only six miles from the M6 and conveniently located for access to both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks, the ancient market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is famous for its hospitality.

With a variety of restaurants, cafés, takeaways, lively pubs selling award-winning and locally brewed ales and the famous Lunesdale Bakery right in its centre. There are many other award-winning pubs and restaurants dotted around the surrounding countryside, some of which get booked up very quickly, so we advise you secure your reservation as soon as possible.

Along with its many and varied shops, Kirkby boasts a branch of the amazing northern supermarket, Booths, selling both the finest picks of local produce and all your familiar supermarket brands and open until 10pm every night and 4pm on Sunday.
